Missing the sounds, scent and vistas from the farm where I once was in Scotland

Ballkissock Farm

A warm glow greets you from the kitchen

the aga casts out its familiar warmth

the farmer and his lady beckon

come sit pon kitchen bench

the scent of pine wafts on the cool breeze

the deer frolic neath the shade

hills partly obscured by majestic trees

and the sheep are grazing in the glade

We refresh the senses with a quick walk to the byre

where the vista takes your breath away

the climb up the hill makes one such a liar

leaving one breathless with nought to say

Thank you. This was a farm where I found such peace and tranquility........all manner of animals lived around the farm, apart from the cows, sheeps and deer.

Thank you for your very kind comments Marathongman!

miles of smiles and a Happy Christmas :0)

Vee I missed this one whilst visiting your page
just the name 'Scotland' brings hopes and dreams to surface, as well did this, bringing scenery into veiw.
If you ahve been to many places you could always tell of the places in an article or short story. I for one don't go anywhere and would be interested in hearing :D

How nice to meet people in different parts of the world.

Yes I live in Scotland, Ballkissock farm was lovely about an hour and a half's drive from where I live now. I am in a place called Stranraer........I adore Scotland and most of my close family are up here. There are some absolutely stunningly beautiful places here too.

Maybe I will write a short story or an article of a place or two up here in these parts :0)

hugs and love
Vee
