Commentary on where we go when we sleep, what we dream, what we see and where we are. Posturing the argument that when sleeping we are in another world or within another plane. Non-physical, non-human and free.

Embraced by Morpheus

Come let me run now into the embrace of Morpheus

As the Sun God casts off his golden garb

Let the moon commence her silvery dance

In this deep dark night of trance

For then shall the Goddess rise

throwing off her mortal gown

And take upon her that ethereal crown

Where freedom then shall allow

her dalliance within the cosmic spheres

Transcendent she now, and isolated not

but connected within those higher realms yet

and so she does commune

with all those others so adorned

Her work begins ‘pon plasmic cloud

and higher still within the ether fields

for engaged with others she is set

in building a temple more beautiful yet

O those wondrous beings of love and light

churning the ethers with pure delight

gliding with exquisite ease through fantastic rays

more fabulous than does the rainbow display

Over landscapes never envisioned

above domed cities of crystal and burnished gold

Within them such dreams! Such envisioning

and high above, a Pantheon of ethereal light

set as a sparkling diamond within Gaia's golden crown

Come quick the night

Bring on your magnificent display

Allow this mortal to slumber

Within the arms of Morpheus again

Your words are like strokes of a paintbrush. The paintbrush paints in a picture. A picture shows a story. The story you tell is detailed and beautiful. If I could buy it, I would be unable to, due to its expense. Because its too good for me anyways :)
I like this one.

You are so very kind. I am touched that you felt this way about my poem Embraced by Morpheus.

Your comments are almost a poem in themselves too. Re-read what you have most generously written to me, and you will see what I mean. AND please do not EVER think that you are not worthy of beautiful words. NO ONE is unworthy of beauty in their life.

Hugs......and miles of smiles

Vee
