 MYSTICAL SOJOURN

I sat there, legs crossed

looking out to sea

the sun threw golden sprinkles on the waves

I had felt heavy, lost

life had me bruised and tossed

***

Deeper, deeper inwardly I floated

heard no sounds

as I closed my eyes gently

after awhile I felt nothing but peace

as into nothingness I was eased

***

I became aware of lightness

no form I sensed I had

my body  disappeared

no weight now on the ground

***

I had become invisible

my senses still intact

for I could see wondrously

the luminosity of this act

***

My senses full of joy and bliss

as I sat there in His grace

the seascape opened and revealed to me

landscapes of  celestial imagery

***

The cloud formations were transformed

now cities and landscapes gold adorned.

fountains of rainbow water poured

onto his children so adored

love filled the air

peace  everwhere

***

I know not when I returned

how for that place I now yearned

heavy now I, my body grounded

 left  breathless and completely astounded

***
