Tiny Treasure

Poem by: Gentlespirit

Summary

How beautiful a spiders web is. How intricately put together and really quite facinating.

Tiny Treasure

When I came across it, I but drew my breath,
For upon such exquisite beauty, did my eyes arrest.
The most delicately worked, gossamer silken lace,
Seductively suspended there, before my very face!

Stranded gold and silvery thread, Oh! What Stitchery!

Encrusted with minute pearls and diamonds
And coloured by nature’s love and harmony
The most fabulous lace ever imagined
And by human hands, never fashioned!

But! A spider’s web, moistened with the early dew,

gently reflecting the rainbow, in all it’s glorious hues.
