In this life our mission is the lord
to live and breathe by his word
do unto others and others will do unto you
However, how much of this is true?
Just because one does to another as one would want another to do to them, does not actually oblige thy neighbor to actually do so
For that reason, why take the chance to surrender ones iron gate that which represents the ivisible barrier that we soon learn to construct to protect our inner most weakness?
For this inner weakness which keeps us alive physically and metaphorically, can also kill us spiritually.
Leaving one illucid to the emotional state of the flesh and spiritual world.
I.e. leaving one in a paralized state of emotion.
Reluctant to open themselves to "Love," for fear of rejection or the pain of the "break."
I've heard its better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.
However, if one had never had that love they would, in turn, be naive to that pain.
On the other hand, would one have a pain for there was something missing, a void, which is the joy of the feeling of being "loved?"
Leaving one missing something that is alien to them, not understanding what, but something was keeping one from feeling as a whole.
The only answer would have to be, which pain would be worse?
In conclusion, to answer that question, one would have to answer this question: would leaving onesself open to the eternal love of God, by just having faith, trump any pain of a lost love?
