At night I lay awake, thinking of you,
Staring at the ceiling, engulfed in darkness.
Wanting to go to sleep, wanting it to be the next day.
But my yearning is utterly pointless.
At school I stare with apathy,
At the crowd that passes me without a glance.
I want to go home, I want to dream of you,
As I follow my lessons in a trance.
At home I can't stop thinking,
Because all of the time I desire,
To be with you forever,
Because my love for you will never tire.
I feel so worn out and so thirsty,
And all that can satisfy me is you.
But you don't see me and don't care,
That I'm craving for someone to be honest to.
At night I lay awake,
thinking of you,
I keep sinking and sinking endlessly low,
I can almost hear myself cry,
As I tightly embrace my pillow.
And dream about you: the girl of my dreams...
