Darkness surrounds me, engulfing my soul, draining my gentle spirit out of me. I’m hanging onto an edge on the side of a mountain as the ground below me starts to give way. Blinded by the pounding rain, I struggle to hold on, just as I think all is lost, a beam of light shines on me. An angel appears. She speaks these words of wisdom:

“Don’t despair my Young Warrior of Love
She is out there for you
Wanting, needing, and desiring you
Set your course and head east
Show her what it feels like to be
loved and protected.”

The angel disappears and I am hanging on for dear life. I muster my strength up and pull myself up and over. I look around and hear music:

“Somewhere out there, someone needs me
I don’t know how or where
But believe me
I’d walk the universe to find her
For better or for worse beside her”********

I dust my pants and my army boots off, looking at the ground ahead of me, I take off running. I run down the mountain side dodging bushes, rocks, and trees. I trip and take a tumble a short distance. I pick myself up and touch my face and see blood on my fingers. I look at my hands and see that they are cut up. I don’t care-I keep running as I am a Young Warrior of Love.

Over the river and through the woods I go. I see a cabin. I slow down and notice an elderly woman in a rocking chair.

She yells, “Is that you my grandchild?” I yell back, “Sorry, I am not. I am a Young Warrior of Love. I am destined to be with a woman who is waiting for me.”

I break into a jog, out of the corner of my eye, I see the woman pick up a bullhorn. As I pick up speed, I hear her yell, “Run like the wind and don’t stop.”

I continue to run; zig zagging to the left and to the right. As I pass over a crest and come upon a park, I see a beautiful woman sitting on a blanket with a basket next to her.

She calls to me, “Come here my Young Warrior of Love.” I walk over to her. She pulls me onto the blanket. She takes my hands and looks at the cuts. She cleans them and kisses each one. She caresses my face with her hands and kisses my lips.

She whispers into my ear, “I’ve been waiting for you.” I whisper back: “I’ve been searching for you. I am here to love and protect you the way you should be.” I gather her into my arms, not wanting to let go.

We lay on the blanket together-talking, giggling, laughing, cuddling, snuggling, and nibbling on each other’s ear.

The heavens open up and rain falls upon us. I stand up and extend my hand to her. She takes it and we dance in the rain. I see a puddle and I jump in it, splashing water on her.

She tells me that I’m nuts and I turn to her and say, “Well I’m nuts about you.” We stand in the rain gazing into each other’s eyes. She runs her fingers through my hair.

Dark clouds loom over us, she tells me she has to go away. I fall to my knees, with tears running down my face; begging her to stay with me. She licks my tears away and tells me, “My Young Warrior of Love; you will always be in my heart, please don’t forget that.”

As she kisses my lips one final time, she fades into the clouds as I stand in the park by myself- A Young Warrior of Love.
