Promises? Don't they usually get broken?

Promises, promises everywhere, no one who cares.
Few hardly kept, many broken.
Some cannot be helped but broken, but that is okay,
They seem to be nothing special anymore.
They are broken daily by thousands.
They have turned into lies.
Most liars not keepers.
What can we do?
I know I shall try my hardest to never break a promise.
What about you?

Certainly easy to relate to in my current situation. I like the last two lines, they really make you think and add a sort of positive note to a bitter subject. Great write.

Nice poem... definitely seems to be true, but not always. Us poor foolish fallible humans!

Thanks, promises seem to be really hard to keep these days.
