UNIVERSE

I took off the mask I looked in the mirror There was nothing behind it Not even a face Even the crying eyes Are gone without a trace I’m not brighter than a thousand suns The whole galaxy blew up What’s left is a blue dwarf And empty rocks orbiting it Chance of life there is not one bit I'm not brighter than a thousand suns I only hold the candle with fire that burns The fire that lights your way As you move forward and say: “It's just me, it's ok!” And as we reach the greater opening You put the candle’s fire out They are just thoughts in the beginning But then you kneel and shout. So all will end there is no doubt But something happened, something strange Makes no sense but things will change. I saw I had a brand new task So I wear again my mask But this time to my face it stuck Bolts of lightning began to struck You got scared and tried to run Not before you dropped the gun I started running right towards you And I caught you, held you, kissed you The clouds all seemed to disappear The small blue dwarf began to cheer Its rocks caught shape Nothing had lost faith I started floating up so fast I took you with me and at last I got brighter than a thousand suns You ignited me again Wrote my soul with burning pen Then you read it all out loud Sounded splendid for the crowd! Wait, what crowd when nothing’s there? It seems life sprung from the bare Rocks warmed by the sun And the one that dropped the gun!
