It's not everyday when I see someone that intrigues me like you. You're just a mystery. A beautiful one too...

A Beautiful Mystery

A small flower
Sitting with ease
Departs from the bunch
And floats in the breeze

All this way
It passes me by
Not once, But twice
Then it catches my eye

Pretty little flower
Still and well
Falls down again
Trapped in jail

An eye to see
A nose to smell
Ears to hear
And a mouth to tell

Small little flower
Sitting with ease
Departs from the bunch
And floats in the breeze

It continues it's journey
To the place unknown
And waits there quietly
Happy and alone

And then one day
The wind blows hard
The small flower stays
And plays it's final card

It refuses to leave
And calls it home
Where the soft patch of grass
Is no longer alone

Small little flower
Sitting with ease
Stays in its spot
Stands still in the breeze

I don't know why
It chooses to be alone
I don't know why
It does the unknown

Small little flower
Sitting with ease
With a mind of its own
Is a beautiful mystery
