I have fallen
Fallen deep into the darkness.
The pain of the darkness has shattered my heart, but I do not long for the light. Fear grasps my mind. I ask myself ‘will the light accept me?’ And because I know the answer, yet do not want to face it, I let myself just fade farther into the darkness.
Pain and sorrow become my allies.
I long for the darkness to take me, for I am alone. My eyes are filled with hatred, anger, and wrath.
I start to remember the light
Remember those that I left behind.
I hear a voice, a voice that seems familiar, yet I do not know where from.
This voice is my light. I head toward the voice, but the darkness takes hold of me. Pulling me back.
But I now see the light.
I reach out to the light.
I see my light.
I see the one who can awake me from my eternal sleep.
