We are dead, our hearts still beating

We are dead, but we're still breathing

We smell fine, our corpse not rotting

Hit us hard, satisfy

Open wounds, magnify

Over time, retaliate?

Some surely, some tolerate

But think this over, one more time

Can you kill,

that which is already dead?
