The Puppet Master #1

The scene starts close up to a set of doors leading into a school gym. All of the sudden the door opens and a crowd of teenage boys enter. Two of them are holding a boy by his arms and legs.

Random kid: Throw him in the pool!

Ron: What do you think I’m going to do!

Simon: Let me go. Right now!

Ron and another kid drag Simon to the school swimming pool. Swing him back and forth a couple of times they toss him in. Simon submerges completely under water. When he comes up for air Ron and the others are laughing. As they start to leave Ron stops and turns to Simon.

Ron: See ya later, Loser!

Simon: You’ll regret this. I swear you will.

Ron: What ever you say, Freak.

The scene changes to Simon waiting at the bus stop the next day. As he is waiting Ron walks up to him.

Ron: I’ll miss you today, my friend. I won’t be able to make you life a living hell for a couple of hours.

Simon: What do you mean?

Ron: You see I won’t be at school today. And I swear if you tell any one about me skipping school, you’ll be dead!

Simon: I won’t tell a soul.

Ron quickly jogs off as the bus approaches. Once on the bus Simon takes out a notebook and begins to write:

Ron’s gone. I’m going to miss him.

Scene switches to Simon in the hallway with that same notebook. He writes:

Getting so close to that time. I can’t wait.

Scene switches to Simon in the lunch room writing in that notebook.

Its time.

Once more scene switches to Simon as he is walking off the bus writing in his notebook. It says:

I feel kind of bad now that Ron is gone.

As he walks into his house the news is on the TV in the living room.

News Anchor: Later we will have more on the story about a teenage boy killed in a car crash earlier today around 12:30.

Simon’s mother: Oh, how awful.

Simon: Yes it is a pity. Mom, I’ll be in my room if you need me.

Simon slowly walks to the basement steps and begins his ascend. The basement is covered in posters and a bed is over to the side of the room. Simon walks over to the closet, picking up a nail and a small doll from his dresser. Opening the door he begins to push piles of clothes out of the way. We see Simon nail the doll, which has the odd appearance of the boy Ron and a voodoo doll, to his closet wall.

Simon: I told you, you would regret messing with me Ron. I could have saved your life.

As the picture moves outwards you can see the whole wall is covered in voodoo dolls, each having there own appearance, held up by nails.

Simon: I knew you were going to die today. The fact that I can tell when people are about to die is ironic. Your nice to everyone else, but me. Maybe if you were nice to me I could have saved you. I could have told you not to go, but you had to push me. You had to test my patience.

Simon begins to walk out of the closet. He glances back at the closet wall.

Simon: Now are you are is a puppet and I am your master.

He shuts the closet door, using a key to lock it.

Simon: If you tell anyone my secret, you’ll regret it. I swear you will.

He laughs, heading back up the stairs.
