The reality of one terribly sad, dreadful story that still lives on, never to be forgotten.

Frozen in Time, A Ghostly Ocean

Oh, the world knows the sadness, cold, dark skies

We feel Titanic grief, hear many groans, many cries!

The unsinkable had sunk to the bottom, great misery

Those passengers, staff are at rest, April 1912 simply deathly

The Ship of Dreams has embarked on a different phase

What's left is quickly eroding, now chilled thoughts amaze

Frozen in time, we will always remember a huge loss

Frozen in time, a solid monument and white cross

One hundred years of this gruesome, aching fact

With books, photos, movies, icy details surely intact

Never to be, once a ship of happiness, glowing fame

In our hearts, proud to hold, TITANIC everlasting name

Always remembered, always in mourning of the coldest, horrible morning, April 15, 1912.

Ian Dawn

A memory, a story, a ship, and now a poem. I saw the original movie when I was a young boy and I still remember the way it made me feel back then and its the same today. Such a needless tragedy but such a beautiful poem.

This is a very creative poem, I like the way you wrote it. I myself for one have never really cared for the movie titanic or the event (Is that selfish sounding?) I dont intent it to be selfish, but boats sink all the time, its awful. Yes and Titanic is a sad story. I think they mostley just used the story for money though, if you get what i mean.
Amazing Talent though dear, please keep writing.

venkata ramana

good in deed but a little suggestion: go to the deeper part of the pain that it had and puzzle the situations then see the beauty of your poetry..(implement only if you like)

This is a very good poem! Sadly, the issue of the Titanic (as bad as this sounds) never interested me in itself, but this poem does interest me, ans I really like it!
Well done, great work!

You write of something we still find hard to fathom despite all that is written and replicated. The truth is many lost their lives and something beautiful and man-made felt the fury of nature.
