In my cortex of discontent
Lies realisation;
A misguided direction
Without light
Yet, lies in my mind's eye
Hope! A flicker on the candle I carry.
Smoke simmers
With every thought,
Every fume
Consumes every tentative breath,
Until all that exists
Are converging clouds
That equate my tongue.
