Sprawled child,
spread eagle, head first
on the plush dash
of the coach class bus.

Fifteen hours strectch on.
Two hour delay. Wide-load
stuck in the muck.
Truck moves forward.
Truck moves back.

Everyone off the bus,
smoke break.
Back on the bus,

three small children
occupy the isle.
Tread lightly, careful
not to crush finger tips.

Fifteen more hours.
