Revenge Is Bitter Sweet

He believed it was when he was walking,

Across the bridge that spanned the lake.

He was with  his friend and talking,

About the weird things that had taken place.

But nothing was quite as weird,

Than the thing that happened next.

For as soon as it  appeared,

The beast had taken his friend.

He stood there in shock,

And let what just happened sink in.

He stood on that same spot,

For at least 15 min’s.

Then he felt anger rise,

The beast had taken his buddy.

The beast would soon face its demise;

Its face was about to get bloody.

He started walking on the route,

That it had made for him.

He was going to use his steel toed boot,

And kick it hard in the shin.

Soon he reached the monster’s den,

Its disgusting, moldy dwelling.

He was going to break its neck and then,

Its life he would be quelling.

Suddenly a claw reached to him,

And grabbed him by the neck.

His braveness then just left him,

As he then was faced with death.

His life was seen before his eyes,

But so was his unconscious friend.

He reached out and grabbed its life

Before they met their ends.
