Joseph Kony is a horrid rebel leader tormenting Africa. I support the Kony2012 movement. Also we need to open out eyes and ears to the world...We need to step up...We need to be grateful...

The following article will be hard hitting, taboo, insulting and insightful. I will criticize America and our daily lives and I will explain in depth what I think about our world. I will fully go into very emotional and hard to reach topics and if you don’t like my opinions or you just want to keep your eyes shut and shut out the world then so be it. I will leave links to different sites with descriptions at the bottom of the page. This is…

A Look Out My Window

By Gothikah666

I cant believe what she wrote about me on Facebook. Oh my god I failed the test. He broke up with me my life is over. I hate you I wish I was never born. This is the worst day ever…

So many kids and people in America are (offense intended) utterly and completely oblivious to anyone or anything else outside their bubble. Bubble, meaning what they perceive, their daily life, what they know, things like that. But this is to focus on what they might not know, or what they choose to ignore.

isn’t it so nice when you can wake up in the morning in your bed and take a nice hot shower? isn’t it nice when we can put on clean cloths and go drive to Jack-in-the-Box for breakfast? Isn’t it nice when we (get this one) actually go to school and get an education? I know you may be thinking yeah I guess so but what are you trying to say?

Well I thank you for asking, I am getting at the reason that I absolutely hate a whole lot of people. Neither for personality nor what they’ve done to me. I hate that there is a very vast large majority of people who live life and take the situation they been placed in for granted and then complain about stuff when in reality and in another perspective they are really the luckiest people on Earth.

This is inspired by recent events which you may have heard of concerning a man named Joseph Kony. An organization named Invisible Children, made a video on Kony (video link on my homepage) and the horrid sick, sadistic, cruel, gut wrenching, heart dropping, dark, twisted, and unspeakable things he does. Kony is an African rebel leader of the L.R.A and is responsible for countless deaths, injuries and child soldiers than I have ever seen.

So back to what I was saying. America stop whining and complaining about how hard it is. It’s not hard at all. I’m sick of hearing people bitch about the economy and money and life and how they hate their parents or siblings. Let’s start with money, you’re worried about getting your cable bill paid while a child in Africa was just abducted and is now forced into an army and if he doesn’t comply he will die. Your life? Don’t ever complain about it considering how lucky you are. Imagine trying to sleep at night not knowing if something bad will happen to you or your loved ones as you sleep, imagine living in a constant never ending fear. Now let’s hit the most hard hitting one, parents and siblings. This may not apply to all but for a large audience it will. You wake up in the morning in the comfort of your home and whether you are living alone as an adult or are a child still living with their parents you still have them around. You may say you hate them and you may despise your parents or sister or brother but would you hate them enough to watch them die in front of you. Children in Africa have been forced into armies and have been forced to shoot and kill the people that brought them life. Picture holding a gun in your sights then pulling the trigger ending the lives of the people who gave you life. Imagine watching someone slit your brother or sister’s throat and watching their blood mix in with the dirt. Picture the glazed over eyes of the so called ones you hate so very much. How sick could you be if you had no emotion for any of those scenarios?

We are so incredibly gifted with the lives we have been given. The opportunities we have are so amazingly lucky for us. The fact is that we are being selfish and mistreating and abusing our great gift. People do drugs, hate for no reason, fight, judge, and spend their time wasting away. To the people in school obsessing over the little dramas you may have and who are failing classes when they have potential but in the end will amount to nothing, good luck. It’s probably been easy, you know those eighteen years growing up and now college is coming and the party won’t stop. Have fun with your years of partying and care free life. After it all cools down and you’re working your nine-to-five job barely getting by when you know for a fact that all this could be different, I’m sorry. But here’s something you should never forget, your worst day here is and always will be better than the worst day for someone in Uganda.

It’s finally time to uncover your ears and open your eyes. People I beg you to see the world for what it really is and not just what you see. Come and look out my window and see the horrid sights and black night I’ve become so acquainted to. Not your crisp green grass or cold blue skies, not the fresh newspaper outside your doorstep or the birds flying so beautifully. Just dirt, dense forest, blood and tears. Children crying over lost loved ones, people starving because they gave their only meal to a small girl. The horribly scarred and disfigured faces caused by Kony and his reign of terror. These are the things that sit outside my window as the ear splitting sound of gunfire and sobs ring out and resonate in my head.

Our problems are miniscule compared to the world. Our lives that we can’t stand oh so much are beyond the wildest dreams of others. The things so common to us are the rarest commodities of others such as things as simple as ice. Oh how someone somewhere would give anything just to spend an hour in your shoes. How much of a fantastic miracle of a gift that would be. On the other hand, what if you had to go take their place? Walk in the shoes they’ve grown out of since they were eight. Could you do it? Would you even want to? Is life really truly so hard here? Are your dramas so significant that you think your life is the worst? Do you spend your time wasting away your golden opportunity for faint memories and halfhearted smiles? And finally, do you even care that there are millions suffering, while you sit on Youtube watching a stupid video buffering? Say what you want but in my eyes I have every right to hate people like that.

One last thing before I end this. Imagine waking up knowing there are people out there who have the resources, people, and capability to come and help you while you sit in a rebel camp crying over your lost relatives and loved ones. Imagine how that would feel when a lot of people hear your cries and heart felt sobs but simply ignore you and turn their heads to look away. Imagine not being able to ever see the people you care for ever again because you killed them to save yourself. Trust me when I say we have it easy and imagine if it were the other way around. Would you want help? Would you want someone to reach out and hear your cries? Would you like to finally realize for the first time in your life that you’re free? Would you like to set down your gun and be a kid once more? Would you like to actually smile again?

…Well so would they…
