The School of Dreams

Wrapped in the blanket of sleep he lay
Night’s soft caresses lulled
The hooting owl did chime the time
The skittering mouse did play
A door did open wide that night
An angel floated down
Life’s journey he began to take
A voyage through the stars
Exploring universes there
Avoiding deep black holes
A journey through the cosmic sea
Uncharted waves to fly
To worlds beyond the realms of man
A time not far away
Where warring armies fight for Light
As darkness tries to spread
The angel showed him things to be
He told of wonders too
Of powers beyond the ken of man
Of secrets yet untold
And when he woke to morning light
All dreams had passed away
Yet knowledge of his dreams remained
But hidden for a time
The whispers of the night do come
They bring to each a key
What it will open up to them
A secret still remains
When time is right when ages dawn
When Light does call on him
This key will unlock doors beyond
Then all he’ll understand
A school of dreams he entered in
New worlds he did explore
In preparation for this day
Dimensions bounds did cross
