The Collage

Shattered pieces - broken lives
All but shades of life
Yet within this frame of light
A picture there can make

Life is but a gathering
Of what we do or say
It creates, but different shards
Of all that makes our life

Every action like a brush
A picture it will paint
Different hues and tones I see
All make up the whole

Trials, tests, and failures too
Each colour adds to all
Like the jewel, refracts the light
Priceless beauty tells

Pain and sorrow, parts of life
Struggles, suffering too
These all add to what we see
Jewels – beyond price!
