The Sojourner

From the dark depths of despair,
From the pits of the deep abyss,
From the grasp of the evil ones,
Unto Light!

From the wide path to destruction,
From the sounds of the vain sirens,
From the halls of self gratification,
Unto Truth!

From the snares of lustful passion,
From the dark looming trials of the mind,
From the claws of death and destruction,
Unto Love!

From the arms of power and seduction,
From the bed of sensuality,
From the roads of glittering temptation,
Unto Simplicity!

From the prison of my thoughts,
From the chains of my desire,
From the dungeon of my selfishness,
Unto Freedom!

From the empty void of nothingness,
From the jaws of glittering wealth,
From the deceitfulness of lust,
Unto Humility!

From darkness now to light,
From death now unto life,
From wandering lost in emptiness,
I am Home!
