Winds of the Sea

Winds of the sea blow o’er me
Invigorating winds of life
I see the rippling waters come
Lapping soft the shore
O’er the dry and thirsty sands
Covering gradually
Tell me now o’ listening ears
Which of these you choose
Both do seek to claim the land
Only one you fear
Loud the crashing of the waves
Conquest breaking through
Down with barriers flooding all
Wearing down by force
Gentle lapping of the waves
Lulling all to sleep
Gradually creeping up it came
Till it covered all
Tell me now my listening ears
Which of these you choose
Both do seek to conquer all
Only one you fear
