I'm sorry, is that what you want me to say?

I'm sorry, is that what you want me to say?
Apologize for all you've done,
For all you've said,
For all you've seen,
For all you've laughed at,
For all you are.

I'm sorry, is that what you mean?
That I should forgive: when you laugh at me,
When you insult me,
When you judge me,
When you hate me,
When you fool me.

Forgiveness, is that what you want?
When you ask me to say sorry,
For all the things I've never done.
Because you have that look that screams blame,
The laugh that tortures me into pain,
And that love, oh, that love that turned into hate,
I'm sorry.

One of the hardest thing to say is I am sorry. The last stanza, it happens sometimes; having to say sorry even though it's not your fault or for the things you never did. That is life. Overall, great work in putting forward such a simple phrase (I'm sorry) into something other people can appreciate and relate. Nice work! :)

I apologize a lot even when I did no wrong... I don't know why. This was interesting. A bit of a different style from you, too... I liked it! Well done!

That's the painful truth, isn't it?

Ooph. Sounds like a relationship I know of, full of passive-aggression and unspoken declarations.

Yes. Not that I've known such a relationship. I don't know how I wrote this!
