The time-lapse was the easy part.

The stillness that followed

was the hard part.

It filled me like a sad puppy

chasing down the lost dreams

of the soulless picture.

Bright as the moon

she walked across that stillness,

awakening it from within.

Not knowing, that I know,

that she was the most

that I have even owned,

she picked me up

and spun me.

Showing me that I was not still and alone

and stuck in a time-lapse

to never be owed.

She called to me

with the silkiness of satin

and whispered the words

“I own you and love you,

you will never be alone.”

A heart beat

faster than a hummingbird’s flight.

I lost that time

were stillness could only be mine.

Her, she and I were the only thing this time
