i wrote this particular poem about a guy that i talk to. he's so easy to talk to and everything about us is easy. he's unlike anyone i've ever talked to, and i just wish that we could be together. basically a poem about wanting something, but being willing to settle for a piece of that dream!

The only thing in my life,
That remains unfair,
Is having such a heavy heart,
With no one to share.

I thought I’d overcome that,
For I’d met a boy online,
Yet it turns out he’s not a native,
Impossible to be mine.

Sad how he’s so perfect,
Unlike many before him,
I’ll try to find him in generic,
Still, my chances are slim.

Accepting the hand dealt,
I’ll pull myself together,
Wishing I could have the whole bird,
I’ll have to settle for a feather…
