Short poem inspired by the book Unwind by Neal Shusterman.
I'm not really a poet, I don't usually write poetry.
It's late. I just wanted to actually publish something.
Any reviews are incredibly welcome :)
Thanks

There's fear in his eyes

while the surgeons all grin.

With a scalpel in hand

they eye the boy's skin.

"Don't worry," they say.

"You won't feel the losses."

Then they pick up their tools

and they start the whole process.

Six hours have passed

when the boy is released.

Not whole, not as one,

but wheeled out piece by piece.
