I’ve never been so exact or illiterate

My pulse on fire

Mouth runs dry before a word comes

The moment before our eyes meet

but I’m already exploding

Specks of sugar hidden in your eyes

I feel admired, beautiful to you

But my heart started, when someone called out your name

You turn away to it, so I slowly hang my head

I hear your voice respond in echoes

My heart abandoned like scraps on a plate.

they are there and noticed, but only eaten if there’s more to offer

I know I’m a mistake

because I watched you walk away

At every crossed road we met on
