My heart slows to a raspy stop

A breathe takes, low to down

Every motivation and goal

Hikes up into a twisted harsh feeling

One word spoken ‘worthless’

Do I bring tears or bite it to hold?

I turn timid, liquefied because I still haven’t been there

Though I know I’m meant

So meant to be mended from this nauseous moment

So meant to belong to someone else who is waiting

How I throw out my happiness for something so uneasy,

Even though it isn’t fare for me to make myself so distraught

but nonetheless let it wrap me away

Let it take me, slowly drag me along

At least I choose to the suffering,

rather than to believe love doesn’t exist
