When I crawled into this place
the concrete cracked and the floor fell over
on & on, I found a desolute corner
I found your personal flame
encaptured by the iron hands of
an ever burning lamp post burrowed in the heart
of your waveless ocean current
My skin shed like snow,
drying up with the crispy leaves
When the honey moon feeling dissolved
I struggled two steps forward,
rather than drifting in your shadow,
in a stranger's mirror, where faceless masks hang.
It's more like these days,
the sky stained by a mystical grey
a drapeless window to the truth
that with out what had been,
I wouldn't be where or who I am now
