“Don’t tell me that shit. After what you put me through…”
She slams her laptop screen down and gets up from her chair. She doesn’t know what to think. After him, having the audacity to tell her that she has all these issues and that he doesn’t know if he loves her anymore…what right did he have? To write her and tell her that he ends up missing her? He has no right.
“Fuck that cunt.”
She can’t take the rage building inside of her so she steps outside and takes a drag of her cigarette. Its fumes seem to relieve some of her stress and her anxiety. She can’t take it at this point in time. She was fine, (drag) she had everything under control. She was starting to subside her feelings for him and embracing her new found single life. But, she can’t have that can she? She can’t just enjoy it; she can’t even have that pride anymore. (Drag.)
She doesn’t want to deal with him anymore and his stupid petty life.
But she can’t; she can’t seem to just brush him off like he was nothing; although, that’s what he should be; nothing. Her heart won’t let her this time, oh no; that pesky little organ that seems to hurt every time she thinks about him and their past.
He seems to find this a little game for him; to play with her emotions and her heart.
“Stop then; stop writing him back damn-it.”
The thought of him makes her stomach churn. It’s a nauseating feeling that over comes her. It reminds her of the time she ate microwave coleslaw.
“Okay, deep breaths now…”
She has to settle down the uncertain churning of her stomach. She knows better; she should know better than to write him back. Why waste time on something that was never meant to be and was a bad idea from the beginning. She should have known better than to talk him back the second time around. He fucked her over already once. If he can do it once, he’ll do it again. So evidentially he’s not worth it on any level. It was a good run though…
“No. No. No. NO!”
She blocks out that thought and tried to block him out. But that damn fool stole her heart and she’s fighting to keep it now. She won’t let him win; over her dead body. He won’t get the best of her this time, oh no. She knows better than to fall for the same trick more than once.
“Don’t need him…shit, better on my own anyways.”
Who actually “needs” a guy anyways?
“It’s not denial, oh no, it’s called moving on…”
It’s time for a new chapter in her life; time for her to live for herself.
Embrace the little moments and enjoy every second of life.
“Yeah…” (Drag) “I’m done; I’m over it.”
She puts out the bud of her cigarette and walks back to her laptop and exits out of the conversation.
“Finished.”
