this is a poem my father wrote over 40 years ago before meeting my mother or having kids. it is about his son joining the airforce as he did. i joined last year and then we found this poem. hope everyone enjoys it

My son I know you soon must go to find out who you are but please remember just one thing to be still who you are...

Your time has come to view the world from places near and far you'll search and search to find yourself but be still who you are...

You leave your home, your family your friends who know they are to venture forth to strange new lands but still be who you are...

Your mom and I, Your brothers too will miss you so don't go far then we can see the changes made as you stay just who you are...
