Another poem about my friend, and another instillation to the series that I wrote about him.

I dreamt we spend our nights together, like you do with her.
Me lying on the bed beside you, curled up in your arms.
I dreamt that every morning, you’d sit awake, just to watch me sleep.
Your eyes hidden from the cruel world. They’d caress every inch of thought.
Oh how those eyes entrance me. Haunting me before I wake.
I was the first person to say hi to, and the last one to say good night to.
You'd call me your darling, buttercup, your baby.
And I liked it that way. I really did.
I dreamt I cut you up and settled your remains in my mind, so I could keep you away,
Away from her and closer to me. Isn’t that the way you wanted us?
