This poem is about the captain of a ship that is sailing in a storm.

The waves tumble, roil and writhe against our mighty ship The cold rain stings my face and the wind tips my hat “Hold fast” I yell to my crew but to no avail The ship goes down under the waves to the Place where the bones of many others lay But I laugh at the sea and the rain and the wind For they are my friend
