Surrounded by friends who care and love

But do they see all who finds their love

I give and I share but do they see

All of my sorrows of loneliness and grief

Many among believe they know

How my feelings come to show

But who really does see in my head

For not one can recognise the feeling of dread

I sit in my room thinking of those

Who I have lost to fate and my foes

Not one shall come back no matter how pray

For the relinquish of shadow or my pain

Can change the decisions of those in power

Of the great world’s highest desires

Thus life comes to and fro

But who can anticipate how low

For I see not one soul of mine

That has had any life of any such fine
