Dragons began to surround August. They landed one at a time, eventually forming a circle around him. He held his ground. Perhaps his purpose here was about to be discovered. August respected dragons. He knew they were extremely deadly creatures, and they could kill at will. If this was his time to die, he was ready. But his gut feeling told him that these dragons, (and the dark beings that rode them) were not looking for a fight (at least not yet). One of the black figures dismounted from his 60 foot long, colossal spiked tail beast, whose eyes were pure fire balls. These dragons were no doubt animals cast off from the depths of hell. The evil thing approached August. If the situation called for it, he could have any weapon in his hands, and he would strike. He might die, but not before he took one of these evil things with him. The fully armored black figure with eyes as red and furious as the dragon's spoke. "August. We have been waiting for you." It was the most hauntingly, evil voice August had ever heard. The devil himself would tremble and flee. 'How does this thing know my name?' he thought. He waited for it to speak again, and it did. "You wish to rule us?" A grin passed over the face of August. A bold, arrogant grin. And what he said next shocked even himself. He would sign his own death warrant, right now. "Yes." And that was the most smooth, cocky, and maybe even the craziest thing that ever escaped his mouth. Indeed there would be a fight, and even as he realized he would probably lose his life right here and now, this was how he wanted to lose it. Never was there a time where he felt stronger and more dangerous then he did right now. The evil thing spoke once more. "It's killing time."

One of August's best strengths (other than his mind) was not being terrified of anything. To him, the most vile force to be reckoned with on this battleground soon to be covered and layered with dead carcasses spilling their blood, was him. It was then that he made real the most genius thing ever; a dragon of his own, and the sharpest steel sword that had one job, and one job only; to have the blood of his enemies drip from it. All at once, his foes and their dragons lifted effortlessly and ferociously off the scorched tundra, and were airborne. He jumped on his dragon with his sword on his side and he lifted off as well. As he did that, he made fire rise up from the burned cracked ground, and he spread it for miles in all directions. He drew his sword, then locked on to his first target. He thrusted the dragon forward with astonishing speed and charged one of the reptilian flyers. Both his dragon and the other launched firy flames at the same time, and August pulled a ninety degree angle turn upward, then got behind his target. He got his winged friend close enough, and he sprayed fire at the tail in front of him. Within seconds, one evil dragon and its rider were engulfed in flames and spiraling with a huge trail of orange and smoke down toward the roasting furnace below. At that very second, another one of these massive gliding reptiles got behind August and tried to send him down into the furnace. August came to a sudden mid-air stop and floated a ways upward, and as this rider went under him, he sliced off the demon's head with one gigantic swoop of his sword, and the driverless dragon reared back, spraying more fire, and this time, August pushed his winged creature below this fire and as it flew over his head, he plunged the sword deep into the mid-section and it fell like a missile into the fire below. He figured he could not keep up this same attack on every other dragon, so he put out the flames on the now even more burned ground and set down. He wanted to find out just how well these black demons could fight without a fire-breathing friend.

All the dark figures landed and sent away their dragons. They all had swords too, but not as sharp and ready to kill as his was. They forced August in the middle of their circle, and he waited for one to make its move. The sky began to darken. A hot wind picked up and blew dust around madly. One figure behind him charged, and August kicked him in the head without even turning around. He staggered back, dropping his sword, and August was so lightning quick with that blade, and another head went tumbling. "You all picked the wrong one to fuck with!" August shouted triumphantly. And that set them off. Groups of them attacked, and August was moving and swinging that sword faster than anything he had ever done. Demon blood sprayed, limbs and body parts were scattered everywhere. Whatever these creatures were, they did not have a chance against him. Not one landed a single blow on him. He left lifeless every single one of them, except the one that spoke to him. August could see him, just a silhouette among dust and smoke and blackening shadows. "You fight well, mind mover. But your time to die has come."

This demon was huge, standing maybe 8 feet tall. He moved in on August. "Don't you want to know who I am, or what this place is?" The demon casually asked August. He replied. "No. I just want to see you dead. And I know what this place is. It's Black Planet, and it's my home. I am the ruler here, and you are not welcome." At that second, the demon pulled his sword and ran toward August. August stood where he was, not moving an inch. He closed his eyes, and just as this demon was about to decapitate him, his dragon came, and lifted the evil black figure off the ground, then whipped it against the boulders, crushing it. His dragon returned to him. "Thank you my friend. I called you, and you came." He patted the dragon on the head, and as he did, a knife was pierced through his heart. He dropped to his knees, and turned his head. The old man had killed him. August's last thought was 'How?' and he fell face first, dying on the spot. "We told you to leave or die." The old man said callously. He looked up at the sky. "Time to go home." he then mutated into his true form; a dragon. He spread his wings and flew, igniting Black Planet into eternal flames of fury. welcome to Extinction.
