I decided to take a little detour in this piece. A little different from what I normally do.

heart stops beating,

blood flow slowed,

fleshy engine ceases running,

body dies

as fist sized control

is still

energy inside escapes,

the form it will take,

unknown

leave the temporary conduit

of bone and muscle overlapped

by skin

It was just a carrier

for the real you inside

soul leaves,

upward, higher,

it rises

a blinding white light

an orb shaped entity

heading for its

unfathomable cosmos

leave the earth,

it too was a temporary home

that body is not yours,

not anyone's

provided to you by the unseen

a force that exists, everywhere

and nowhere

it makes yourself presentable

and less frightening

to all the other

uncomprehending souls in bodies

you have died

in this life

but will continue to thrive

elsewhere

where you will go

won't have planets

or hold the image of mankind

here and now

just another pit stop along the winding road

of infinite existence

think of it as moving

only you take nothing with you

the stress, the doubt

the uncertainty, the questions,

everything that was evil

gone

go now

there are other worlds apart

from this one

a long wait will be fulfilled

I will be along shortly,

perhaps at the fork

and with me I bring

my new skin.

I'm Safe in Knowing

that we will meet again.
