Dreamy Lanes

Of late, I’ve been feeling dreamy

Through days, dusks and nights

While you glimmer like a golden star

Across the cliffs and deep ravines.

I marvel at your brightness,

Boy! Wait I have things to say..

But as and when I see you

I just have to catch my breath

All my words dash away.

So I beg you, my darling

I beg you with my eyes

Put some light in this darkness

With nothing but a smile.

So you need not pick a star or flower

Just tell me one thing…  my love, my pride

Whenever I walk the loneliest lanes

Why I always feel you by my side?
