It is free verse (so rhythm is only incidental) written this Sunday that was actually a Sad day.. hence the poem is not a happy one.

You have seen earth absorbing water and then slowly and quietly water starts absorbing the earth… in this game of elements where do we stand?

\"\"

Lost

You came as if you were here

 from the very beginning

But the present still matters

 even for the ancient..

And, say why I see my whole life

In your so incredibly deep eyes

And why your secrets have to bruise my heart

When you are found…. why I am lost?

Why I recognize your silence as much as your voice,

Oh why I pushed myself in this hopeless dark maze

Now I am standing alone in this forgotten… blind corner

This mystery has almost drunk me, like earth absorbs water.

Wow. Absolutely amazing, breathtaking. I really love this, honestly. I like how short and elegant and beautiful is your poem, and I really like the second stanza. Terrific job! :)

Thank you, it is a very very personl poem, like almost a confession.. so i am glad if you understood and appreciated its meaning even 40 percent... i mean the context is not general, it is very very specific and it will be silly of me to expect understanding from anyone.

Thank you so much Nathan for reading and liking this..

I like the way it's open to interpretation and the way it's so deep and...thought-provoking...

This is so beautiful, though for some reason it doesn't sit with me as well as some of your others. :/ It's wonderful, though. :)

I totally understand.. actually it doesnt sit with me either, this is not the kind of poem i want to write.. but sadness is also a part of life.. so sometimes, it can be indulged in..

Thank you so much :)

Lost is such a perfect title. I just keep thinking that you're comparing the wisdom of truth to the darkness of being lost...This poem really made me think a lot! Thanks for sharing it!

Well! I just read this poem again.. believe me truth is a more intricate labyrinth compared to lies or plain evil... and sometimes one becomes extra adventurous and starts unwrapping mysteries that were better buried wherever they were...

Try finding the forbidden "wisdom" you will find yourself lost.

Thank you so much,, you just made me reach some conclusion :)
and yeah, once you are lost you have a bigger licence to explore even more... hahah what a paradox!
