Sorry for the wait, Rose and I had some trouble with making a novel (guess we are still learning about Booksie) so we decided to post the next entry as a short story. Hope you enjoy it! ~ Gypsy

March 9th

After my last entry, you wouldn’t believe me now to know that once in Rose’s apartment, I was more than wide awake and I couldn‘t stop talking. I hadn’t even taken my shoes off when I realised Rose and I had been talking non-stop for over two hours!

I was so thrilled to finally be here and Rose and I just clicked the moment we met at the airport, it was like being friends from as far back as I could remember.

After the initial greeting Rose showed me around her apartment. I was very impressed, as I knew from her previous conversations that she hates doing the cleaning, but it was very tidy! It actually smelt of cleaning products which made me chuckle a little to myself (sorry Rose, that was why I was laughing). It was clear she’d made the extra effort for my arrival and though it was funny I really appreciated it.

“The kitchen, the bathroom, my bedroom…” Rose took me into each room one at a time until she came to stand in front of a closed door and I noticed that gleam in her eye.

“What is it?” I asked her suspiciously. Instead of answering me, she opened the door, pushing it wide enough for me to see inside. The first thing I noticed was the colour of the room - peach! Peach? Come on, I hated that colour! It reminds me of the woodchip wallpaper I had in my room as a child.

Rose moved in and stood beside me grinning like a Cheshire cat. She hadn’t seen my face yet, and but sure enough I told her "I hate it!"

I guess this is my chance to apologise, though I’ve said it already, because I really had no idea she’d painted the room a few days before. Choosing peach, thinking that it was favourite colour!

Still we had fun painting over it didn’t we? : ) Love ya!
