Bath taking has become a cherished ritual for me at the end of a long day. It's the perfect way for me to unwind and let go of the stresses of the day, relax, and have a few moments to myself.

Bath

Turn the water faucet on high

As the hot water mingles with the cold

Filling the tub with aqua colored liquid

Watch as water-drop patterns dance on the waters surface

Creating circular patterns

Test the temperature with my toe

Slowly ease my naked body in to the depths

Rest my heavy head against the back wall

As my body adjusts to the heat of the water

Dry my hands with a towel

Reach for my book

Read a few pages as my eyes become heavy from the warmth of the water

Set the book down on the rim of the tub

Let my hands fall into the water

Gently push my hands against the weight of the water

Feeling the warmth velvet against my skin

Slightly arch my back and release

As the water flushes over and around my body

Eyes closed

Drift of to slumber

Only to awake when the water chills
