Who really controls the worlds around us?
The song that inspired this poem: MitiS - Brings Renewal

The stars, they hold potential,

and the planets glow afar,

but our mark is most essential,

as we’ve got to leave our scar.

We need to plan course now

as the travels will be tough,

but with you alone, I vow

to never leave,

and I don’t bluff.

You shine now like those stars above

in your sparkling little shoes,

but now we have a world to love

and souls for us to choose.

We both stand now, you and me,

here a canvas blank with dread,

but there are souls that we must free

and some joy that we must spread.

Time will flow and never stop,

never going in reverse,

but with you that doesn’t matter

when we’re in our universe.

Thank you, Tom. I also loved the idea, so I just had to write something with it.

Damn, Hanorbi. Just. DAMN. This is your best, dude. This is one of THE best pieces of evocative, emotional, loving poems with a sci-fi and romance concept I've ever read.

Really great job, Hanorbi! You have every right to be proud today. You did good.

Why Thanketh thee, Sir Jack. That's actually some insanely high praise coming from a writer of your expertise.

unmasked delusions

"and souls for us to choose" awesome line. Seems simple but was really deep for me. This is very inspirational. Being in our own universe (or sharing with someone close to us) really is a surreal/amazing thing.

It is. It's an awesome feeling when it's shared, and I wanted to convey that sense of security with another person. I liked that line too hehe :D I appreciate your comments so much!

This is really effing good bruh , this poem makes me question why we exist and is this all so great plan or something (wow I am weird sorry for that XD) but I think About this a lot like : do we matter , will chocolate ever be a vegetable and is it possible to sneeze wand fart at the same time ? Makes you wonder ya know.....

Great poem. Read this last night and I read it again this afternoon. You convey the bond of love so well with your words. You use some powerful words in the poem too: "we have a world to love and souls for us to choose.", "canvas blank with dread". And the imagery is great for "sparkling little shoes" - there's a lot of sweetness in those simple three words.
There is a lot of truth spoken in this poem, but a lot of hope and happiness. Love it!

Glad you did! I appreciate the kind words, Jeff - thank you for reading!

Very romantically put. I like the choice of words used. Very understandable. And I dig the pictures.
