This is a poem that I wrote in my Lit. class. I was quite bored and was staring at a wasp! Enjoy! :)

I saw a wasp trying to fly out the window,

to the world beyond, and I wondered

Is this how our lives are?

Always trying to be free?

Seeing what is on the other side,

but not being able to get there?

I thought, do we just give up

or carry on perservering,

Like the wasp.

Just carrying on hitting that barrier that stops you,

encloses you.

No.

That wasp never got out of that room

But did look longingly to the world outside, full of chances,

hope, dreams.

A future.

Thought it never escaped,

Perserverence le it to it's own self-victory.

Shouldn't we all be like that?

Like the wasp?
