I wrote this poem about a person wishing they knew that the person they love cared for them, as much as they care :)

A lot of the time

It’s cold

Outside.

With the rain

And my tears

Combined.

Sometimes, I guess I just feel

A little out of place,

But

Is that truly the coldest place?

Most of the time

When I cry

It’s inside

I wonder why

I can’t physically cry?

It feels like those

 Tears are trapped

Right behind some steel cell.

In my hazel eyes.

Maybe

 It’s all because

Of how I can’t let go of myself

In front of you

Or anyone else.

All I know is,

It’s cold,

When you act as if you don’t care,

And I might go up in a flare

Screaming at you,

Praying

Singing

I wish.

You would show me that you do

Care.
