Questioning.

Poem by: Haineko14

Summary

I'm not really sure how this poem turned out? It's defiantly one of the most challenging poems I've written...
Anyway this is really about someone constantly questioning themselves after the day is over, like "Did I say the right thing when..."

I think,

You’ll all know what I mean

When I tell you

I do

Indeed

Stare out a glass framed window,

Coming back from school

On the bus,

Staring blankly

At nothing.

Just over thinking.

I know,

Although

After I arrive home

I can just be myself

And not care one bit

What anyone else thinks,

Cause

If I laugh,

If I cry

If I decide to dance around the kitchen in my spotted pyjamas

Singing something random,

While waving my arms high up in the air

As if I don't care about

Anything.

Who really cares?

Cause don’t you think,

It’s such a shame

That most of us

Most of the time

Pretend

Who we are on the outside.

Some people don’t even realize,

Those unseeingly tall walls they’ve built up

Around themselves

And others.

Cause don’t you think?

When,

You stare out that glass framed window

Coming home from school

Don’t you want to know,

At least a some bit

Of what the others around you think?

So then

Maybe you’ll know how high that wall is to climb

And then

With that knowledge

You can surely achieve

A good all

Mountain hike.

Do you think, what I think?

Just sometimes,

I feel

A bit stupid

Others, I feel like

My smile could not possibly widen anymore

But then

Again.

I start to think of

What I could’ve done.

What I should’ve done.

Sometimes I feel as though I could cry and

 Sometimes I nearly do,

And only sometimes

I begin to laugh to myself

When I think of what I did

And what I said

To everyone else.

But,

Then I go back

Once again

So I can keep track of

What I should’ve done?

What I should’ve said?

As

It constantly spins around my head

However, in the end

All I do

Is just

Simply

Regret.
