I remember. It was December. It was Iowa, where the winters used to be harsh and cold. My cousin and I were allways outside, playing in the snow. We had to cut through a field and cut across a frozen pond to get to our snowballforts. We had fun that night. Our last night. We threw snowballs and buitl an igloo. My socks and gloves were soaked! I was starting to get a cold ,so, I said we had to go. We cut across the pond. What we thought, was solid as a brick. The next day I slept for awhile, because I had gotten sick. When I woke up later that day, the police were at my Aunt's house. They found my cousins body in the pond, that we always cut across. I Cried. I refused to stay at home that day, I got up and ran. I went to the snowball forts, and solemly sat in peace. My cousin was there too. He told me to go asleep. I closed my eyes, I wasn't cold anymore, actually, I was warm. When I woke up, I hugged my cousin and we played in the snowball forts.
