I was messing with the mirage of a sunstroke fixation
a denim blend of miniskirt, lace and satin invitations
Itried to climb her ladder a run or two towards success
but back in the real of things a mule had kicked me in the bollocks
As Istumbled through the failing footholds of courteous grains of sand
my face breaks on the sheen of an oasis,so i drink till i can stand
But really i can't stand it and the taste of tear's tears my throat
soI take the bottle of desperation and smash it with the note
and as the melody of shattered glass climax's with a tingle
I call upon the aged spirits but they conjure the wrong type of single
Now my beer breakfast afternoon has gone flat
and iv'e got only wet cigerette butts to suck
my hands got the devils work to do and my minds got a bird to pluck
but it still ain't enough, where in this desert will i find love.
