She was slumped half way up the stairs

clinging to the banisters trembling.

A fixed psychotic stare reaching to the horizon

longing only for the past to return.

The pale skin of youth reduced to a tear stain blotch,

her facial features paused in bisbeleif .

The echo of betrayal bouncing of the inners of her mind .

This was her coming of age present .Abandonment!

Her Mother clings to a bottle of Vodka

Its contents of little comfort or Salvation.

The Anti depressants failing in their duty

She had beleived the family dream.

Driven on by pomises of a future .

Now Only Qestions tormented.

Her continual pleads for truth

met only with Painful Silence.

and there

Snuggled up on the couch, half a sleep

a pair of soft Angelic eyes Roam.

A once serene nature Now awash with fear.

Her sister Totally out of reach.

Her mothers cries too hard to Bare.

She buries her head in the cushions

And comforts herself .

Another Casualty braves the absence.
