FROM THE PIER ,

I WATCH THE MOBILE TIP
WITH ITS WAVES OF TIN CANS
IN AN OIL SLICK
AND ACROSS THE PROMENADE
TO THE OTHER SIDE
WHERE MOTORWAY
AND TOWN COLLIDE
 THE FAST FOOD EATERS
COMPARE THEIR SNEAKER'S
AS THE ARCADE GAMES CORRODE
THEIR MINDS .
and
.
.
LITTLE SAMMY's  MOTHER
PUTS SUNBLOCK ON HIS FACE .
WHILST HIS BUCKET AND SPADE
MELT IN TOXIC WASTE .
 AND ALL THE SEAGULLS
CAPPED IN OIL.
ARE SOLD OFF
AS ALTERNATIVE FUEL.
