Lilies stirred playfully in a rippling reflection of the clouds. The lake lapped gently at its confines, clinking quietly as it pushed against the bank and fell back into itself. A bluebird flitted through the leaves above the girl's face and twittered sweetly as it alighted on a branch. She smiled at the tranquility of it all; the lonely clouds wandering above her head, the way her dress fluttered and danced in the slight breeze. She felt so liberated in this place of peace; so far away from all of the negativity and pain that walked alongside the city. The host of bright white lilies stretched in a never ending line, swirling in sprightly dance on the glistening water. Bright white joy floated over the lake, erasing all reverence to the gold that blinked in inconsequential purses in the pockets of lords without souls. The vapid capitalism of home meant nothing alongside the waves of glee that drifted beside her.
