Dana

?

She might pass the five foot mark,

Casts no shadow upon the ground.

Seldom are her thoughts ever spoken,

Her judgements will carry no sound.

She’s a queen among the queens,

A love among the loves.

An eagle amidst the eagles,

A dove amidst the doves.

She’s a woman in the time of women,

Stands no second in the shadow of men.

She’s hand in a chore that’s happening,

A friend when there’s no thoughts of a friend.

She’s help when one needs helping,

A shoulder when there’s one in need,

She’s the ground when one needs standing,

The nourishment for a planted seed.

She’s the temper when one is in anger,

The glove for a fisted soul.

She’s the salve when one is hurting,

The action when one has no goal.

She’s a smile, amidst so many scowling,

A calm amidst a hurricane.

She’s the words for the voice of a poet,

For this I honor her name.
